Open Access Week 2024

21. - 27. October 2024

Community over Commercialization

Open Access Week 2024 will continue the call to put “Community over Commercialization” and prioritize approaches to open scholarship that serve the best interests of the public and the academic community.

From October 21 to 27, 2024, the International Open Access Week will take place once again, this year under the theme "Community over Commercialization." This theme emphasizes the growing awareness that approaches to open science must be prioritized as they serve the interests of both the public and the academic community. The decision to extend this theme into a second year highlights the importance of this discussion and provides the opportunity to turn further deliberations into collective action.
