In late summer 2020, an internal Helmholtz communication process was launched, organized by the Helmholtz Brussels Office and the Helmholtz Open Science Office, on the question of what arguments speak for or against Helmholtz Centers joining the EOSC Association.
A small group of “EOSC champions” from the community were initially involved in this process. On January 28, 2021, the Helmholtz-internal communication framework was significantly expanded in the form of an online event with 106 participants, thus creating an “EOSC public” in the Helmholtz Association that can be included in future consultation processes.
