The Helmholtz Open Science Office will be present with various contributions at the 111th “Bibliothekartag” which will be held for the first time under its new name "BiblioCon" in 2023.

The first of these contributions will be made by Lea Maria Ferguson, Helmholtz Open Science Office, and Margit Schön, Central Library Forschungszentrum Jülich, on Wednesday, 24 May 2023, from 14:00 to 14:30, as part of the session "Open Access Strategien und Vernetzung“. The presentation "Transform2Open - Vernetzung in der Open-Access-Transformation" will highlight the goals of the DFG-funded project Transform2Open, which was launched at the beginning of the year, and its activities to contribute to the success of the Open Access transformation.

Another new DFG-funded project, with participation of the Helmholtz Open Science Office, will be presented in the session "Daten und Publikationen" on Thursday, 25 May 2023, from 15:30 to 16:00. Antonia Schrader will present the recently launched project under the heading "PID Network Deutschland – Auf dem Weg zu einer PID-Roadmap für Deutschland". The aim of the project is to establish a network of already existing and currently forming actors around persistent identifiers (PID) in the field of digital communication in science and culture on a national level.

Within the BMBF-funded project open.access-network, which is now in its second funding period, Paul Schultze-Motel, together with colleagues from other participating institutions, will also present a poster on the focus group Open-Access-Helpdesks

In addition, the Helmholtz Open Science Office is pleased that Antonia Schrader has been invited to moderate the session "Diamond Open Access" on Friday, 26 May 2023, from 9:00 to 12:00, due to her expertise in the field of scientific publishing.

The 111th BiblioCon will take place this year under the motto "vorwärts nach weit" from 23 to 26 May 2023 at the Hannover Congress Centrum (HCC). It will be organised by the Verein Deutscher Bibliothekarinnen und Bibliothekare e.V. (VDB) and the Berufsverband Information Bibliothek e.V. (BIB).
