1st Practice Forum Research Data Management

February 3, 2022, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Research data management (RDM) is a relevant topic at all Helmholtz Centers. The Helmholtz Open Science Office regularly provides impulses around the topic of RDM in the context of its Helmholtz Open Science Online Seminars as well as in the context of its project work.

To share best practices and to foster the RDM community within the Association, the Helmholtz Open Science Office hosted the first "Helmholtz Open Science Practive Forum Research Data Management" online on February 3, 2022, from 10 am to 3 pm.

In this Helmholtz-internal forum, different approaches from Helmholtz Centers to organize research data management were presented as examples. In addition, the focus was on concrete service offerings regarding RDM. Furthermore, networking activities with external actors, e.g. in the context of NFDI, EOSC or RDA, were highlighted.

The lively discussions highlighted the high demand for cross-cutting community building in the field of FDM within Helmholtz and beyond.
